Thank you to everyone who attended Pro-Arts Open Studios 2009 and especially those who visited my studio gallery. It was good to see old friends and meet new ones. As well as selling several paintings, I also arranged to exhibit two of my very larger works, "Core," and "Out of Bounds," in the Grand Ballroom of the Parc 55 Hotel in down town San Francisco. They will be on public display through November, 2009.
ABOUT MICHAEL:
ƒ Michael Wells is a fine arts painter living and working in Oakland, California. He has lived in his current studio since 1986. Michael began painting as a boy in rural southern Indiana. His interest in the fine arts solidified while attending an experimental public high school in Melbourne Florida. He later attended the Institute of Design of the Illinois Institute of Technology. Over the years Michael has produced an enormous body of work, mostly sold to local collectors. Michael's work is 'eclectic' in that he does not limit himself to one particular technique or style but explores a variety of aesthetic interests simultaneously.
